Surf Life Saving is an activity that you can participate in throughout your life. You can join from just 5 years of age to participate in our nipper program, go on to be an active lifesaver, educate new members, coach, official, be an administrator, join the Board or just help out by manning the BBQ of a Sunday.

Whatever path you take, you will be part of a family friendly, community minded, volunteer organisation that encourages healthy lifestyles and contributing to your local community.

Club Activities include training, competitions, events, beach patrols and social functions. Members also have access to the clubs facilities including showers, club equipment and function room.

Lifesaving

As a surf lifesaver you are part of one of the largest community volunteer organisations, with over 35,000 volunteers across Australia. Patrolling lifesavers are well-trained, professional and dedicated to providing a vital community service to both residents and visitors to the beautiful Terrigal Beach.

Education

Surf lifesaving offers a range of awards, training and courses through our club to increase your skills and knowledge. Many of the SLSA (Surf Life Saving Australia) awards are VET accredited courses that can assist you with work and education pathways outside of surf lifesaving as well. See our Lifesaving page for more information.

Competition and/or fitness

Surf Life Saving offers the opportunity for many forms of competition that enhance your lifesaving skills…..and are great fun! You can race IRB’s (inflatable rescue boats), become an ironman, row a boat, compete in surfing events or test your first aid skills in competition scenario’s. Our training programs cater for those that want to increase their fitness right through to winning Australian and World Titles. See our Competition page for information.

Social Events

There are regular and yearly social events held at Terrigal. Every Sunday, members and guests are welcome to attend Sunday Sips, from approximately 4pm. Sips are a great way to wind down at the end of the weekend.
