As of this weekend patrolling members will find a description on where to put the patrol sponsors flags on the beach and how to store them you’ll find this in the patrol tower as well as where the flags are stored.
We suggest that each patrol nominates someone to put the flags out when you are on your respected patrols. This year we have done a full clean out of the flags so there is no extra flags stored with the flags that need to go on the beach to eliminate the confusion.
Our sponsors really appreciate you effort putting their flags on the beach.

The bar will be open Friday nights on the following dates including THIS FRIDAY
– 1st November – Friday night SIPS 4pm to 7/8pm
– 15th November- Friday Night SIPS 4pm to 7/8pm
– 22nd November – Friday Night SIPS 4pm to 7/8pm
– 13th December – Friday Night SIPS 4pm to 7/8pm

The Streets Surf Boat carnival will be held at Terrigal on Sunday, November 3 from 8am to 1pm.
Our rowers will be there to start setup and help pack up, but they also have to compete that day.
We have 4 16 year old girls, 4 reserve women and 4 masters men competing so they would greatly appreciate club support.
Helpers are needed for setup from 6am to 7.30am and then at 1pm for pack up. We also need two to three people to run out morning team and lunch for officials.
Thank you in advance.
Paul Quick
Boat Captain.

2020 will see the 20th Anniversary of the Terrigal Ocean Swim Classic which will be held on Easter Saturday 18th April, 2020.
In order to make this the best successful event it can be, I am looking for assistance to form a Committee to host this event.
We require assistance with securing local sponsorship, registrations on the day, time-keeping, t-shirt sales and a plethora of other things.
This is the largest fundraiser of the year. If you would like to be part of this Committee, please email at doa.tslsc.com.au
I look forward to hearing from you.

Lots of people have been asking where to get our awesome club swimmers… and the answer is Fashion Fish!
We keep one sample in each size in the club (in most styles) for you to try on, then you can order online and have them sent directly to you.

Attached is the Season’s Roster – amended to reflect times for The Entrance patrols   2019-20 Roster

The Patrol Application is now mandatory online for each patrol.  I am told by other clubs this is very effective when using the mobile app on your phone if you are happy to use that.  We will keep a number of paper copies to record if we have technical issues on each day, but we really need to bite the bullet now.

Requals for Bronze and SRC have a change this year.  Theory is far simpler, as it is watching a 3-4 minute online tutorial and answering 3 questions only, which you can do online via the members portal or as part of the patrol.  DRSABCD, CPR and Run/Swim/Run remains the same.

Requal form attached for reference here.

For those wishing to requal this year who aren’t aligned to a Patrol lets get a morning organised in October to get this process complete.  Logically this will be managed via the masters, and senior competitors plus the active long service membership.

IRB, ARTC and alike will be advised by Tim Pittolo.  We will look to get all requals done in November to allow time for processing and stragglers.

We look to welcome our long service members to re-activate this year in greater capacity if available, providing knowledge and guidance to our patrols.  Watch out for a separate communication as a discussion on the right approach.

Applications for long service and active reserve are to be received in writing, please send early to allow me to review.  Similarly those looking to change Patrols or roles within please reach out to me… things change and we can easily adjust. Contact DoL here

On our newest members, our rookies, these will be more integral in the Patrols, having a balance of fitness, knowledge and interactive work during patrols.  Watch out for news delivered co-operatively with our Rookie Co-ordinators.

Director or Lifesaving
